About Us
DOWNWARD DOG FILMS is...
Stephen Sinclair and Paul Roukchan, two New Zealand writer/producers committed to bringing quality movies to global audiences. A collaboration begun in 2016 has so far yielded a clutch of feature film scripts. While Stephen and Paul see their main brief as comedy action, projects currently in development include two dramas and a fantasy comedy TV series.
Stephen Sinclair
Stephen writes for the screen, stage and page. He is the co-writer of the Peter Jackson films Meet The Feebles, Braindead (AKA Dead Alive) and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He has been commissioned by Peter to write the screenplay for an animated feature film based on one of his children's stories. Stephen has written over twenty plays including the smash hit stage comedy Ladies Night (co-written with Anthony McCarten), which has an ongoing life throughout Europe, South America and Canada.
Paul Roukchan
Paul is a Russian born New Zealand award winning writer & producer. He has worked extensively in New Zealand television and theatre, as a writer, actor and producer. As a stand-up comedian he has performed internationally as Paul the Soviet.
